A busy day with around 20 volunteers. Rubbish was cleared off site, the electricity works channel was filled in, plasterboard was finished and decorated and some of the Fabric of Society mural was put back. See stuff going on in our video

New studs for Telegraph Hill 29.05.2010

The temporary stud wall to protect the storage area (that we built in April before the floor slab was cast) needed to be demolished again, in preparation for the building of new walls sitting on the back edge of the floor slab. So four of us did that. The materials are ready to be recycled [...]

Sliding doors 19.05.2010

Today I cycled to the joinery workshop in Rotherhithe (Sylvanus Woodcraft) where our folding sliding doors and the front door are being made. They look wonderful: Before they can be installed, we need to complete the external walls, and will therefore need many more volunteers.
