4.  Brockley Society urgently needs a Treasurer!
Our treasurer stepped down at our November AGM due to other commitments. We urgently need someone to replace her. Accounting knowledge is useful though not essential.
The main work is the newsletter advertising revenue three times a year and the Midsummer Fayre. We use an elegant online accounts system called Quick File. The fayre stalls coordinator (usually different from the treasurer) enters applications directly on to the system. The treasurer has to oversee bank reconciliation and payments.
To discuss further details please ring me, Clare,  or .
5.  Hilly Fields Midsummer Fayre 2014: Saturday 21 June, 12noon to 5pm
Details for its organisation will be publicised soon.
6.   Brockley Society Newsletter copy deadline: 1 February
If you wish to send an article for the March issue of the Brockley Society newsletter, please email it to: . The next issue of the newsletter will be distributed in mid-March.
Advertising coordinator for the newsletter: We need someone to volunteer for this not-very-taxing, three-times-a-year task! Please ring me to discuss! In the meantime send adverts to:
7.  Philippines Typhoon Haiyan appeal
See below Alison’s report on the appeal (pdf), which I would have sent before Christmas had my laptop not been stolen (thanks for the many messages). There was a magnificent response to the appeal from Brockley!
